Besides my study, I also focus on cultivating my qualities in other aspects. I am a member of on-campus associations of various kinds. I am a monitor in the class, which helps me cultivate my organizational ability and leadership, strengthening my awareness of teamwork and forming a sense of responsibility. During summer and winter holidays, I took an active part in social practices by doing tutoring, internships, and other practical activities to increase my social experience. In July 2007, I worked for two months at the Deutsche Bank in Shanghai Branch. Over two months of work, not only did I improve my English speaking and translating, but also I made great strides in communicating and coordinating with others. I have improved my communication skills and interpersonal skills especially the ability of working with other people, participating with group and sharing information. In the contact with different customers, I have learned how to analyse customers’ demands so as to better finish negotiations and sign contracts and other specific skills. This work experience has helped me to be clearer about my career development orientation and target.
