The text has been extracted from the book that is named Exemplars of reflection: A chance to learn through the inspiration of others. The author of this book is Bulman, who composed this book in the year of 2000. This book has been published by Blackwell Science Ltd. in the Reflective practice in nursing: The growth of the professional practitioner. The second sentence in Paragraph A shows the definition of the altered body image. The last sentence in Paragraph A refers the intention of the author and this text, which displays that the aimed audience is the patients who have to alter the body image. The last paragraph shows another aimed audience is the junior staffs who are devoting themselves to altering the body images. Therefore, the intention of the text, in conclusion, was to give the information and instruction on the alteration of body images. The style of this text is formal to some degree, but considering from the aspect of an academic text, the extent of formality is not so high. The employment of the pronoun I displays a comparatively lower degree of formality than that of the academic articles. This essay is arranged well. The first paragraph has expressed the definition, and the second paragraph stated the example which has been analysed in detail in the third paragraph. The last sentence of the third paragraph has also concluded the text to some extent.

The signal words have not been shown in the text, for the text has been written in well logical sequence naturally.

In a word, the text has been written with nice development of opinions, so the article is quite logical, which has conformed to theproblem/solutionpattern. The last sentence of this text has further stated the aim of this analysis.
